10 RULES OF ENGAGEMENT OF LEARNERS
1. Start class with a mind warm-up: use a mixture of collaboration and competition to eliminate what could potentially become none activity. (Suggested Activities: Round Robin, Question & Answer, and Games)

2. Use movement to get kids focused:
ask students to participate in a physically fun activity.

3. Teach students how to collaborate before expecting success: teach team building skills
4. Use quickwrites when you want quiet time and students reflections: ask students to write a short journal.

5. Run a tight shop when giving instructions: us creative ways to ask for your students attention they all require a
teachers enforcement.

6. Use a fairness cup to keep students thinking: the fairness cup is a teachers tool to manage his or her classroom so that it can be utilzed a positive learning environment.

7. Use Signaling to allow everyone to anser your questions: this is to help ensure that all students are actively thinking and participating in the class assignment or discussion.

8. Use minimal-supervision tasks to squeese dead time our of regular routines: these task add purposeful activity during moments of dead time.

9. Mix up Teaching Styles: this strategy keeps teacher and students on thier toes and contributes to teacher and student centered learning.

10. Create teamwork tactics that emphasie accountability: Teacher request that the student ask their team members about assignment questions or concerns so that they team can assist in solving the problems within the group.

Thier boredom can lead to greater problems such as lack of attention, lower activement, and it can result in a student dropping out of school.

ENGAGED LEARNING STRATEGIES

Students engagement requires caturing the attention and maitaining active participataion of the students.Keeping students actively invovled in thier learing is a challenging task for teacher of every level of education.

There are various strategies that can be used to help ensure sound instructional practices that will engage students in a positive way.

The following is a brief list of strategies to enhance the students attention:

  • Present new concepts using a logical instructional sequence that maximizes the likelihood that a skill will be learned.
  • Provide opportunities for students to define their own learning goals and evaluate.
  • Integrate real-life experiences into instruction through problem-based learning
  • Use voice intonation to sustain student attention throughout a lesson.
  • Avoid instructional lag time by having materials prepared in advance.
  • Present instruction at a lively pace using humor.
  • Use organizers to focus students attention and increase comprehension of concepts to be learned.
  • Alternate between passive and active instructional activities.
